 Manzanela lies in the small village of Nela, ninety kilometers south of Bilbao/Santander and seventy kilometers north of Burgos. Nela is located in the foothills of the Cordillera Cantabrica mountains and the Picos de Europa.

There are cheap hire car options from both airports.
- By Sea – P&O ferries has a direct ferry route from Portsmouth to Bilbao.
Brittany ferries has a direct ferry route from Plymouth to Santander.
- By Car – You may be traveling down Europe through France, Manzanela could be a perfect few days rest from traveling, whether you are heading north or south.
